Keep your head down and play the game. Learn as much as you can so that you create other opportunities for girls like you.”

Press Release – April 2021

Uyir Engineering Launches a Conscious, Collaborative & Inclusive professional engineering consulting platform.

In today’s world, the tightening economic scenario has compelled manufacturing and construction industries to revisit how engineering firms have operated so far & challenged old school thinking. Business owners are being pushed to stay technologically relevant & thrive with a multi-generational workforce.

To pave the way for a sustainable and economical future in engineering design, Uyir Engineering establishes a conscious and inclusive platform for collaboration between engineers, designers, creative problem solvers, tradesmen and contractors alike.

“We don’t feel heard or respected” is a common pain point that CEO & Founder Rathi Perumal hears far too often while on job sites from general contractors. Tradesmen do not feel valued for their creative inputs & engineers perceive the time and effort that goes into the engineering design process goes unnoticed.

Rathi stated “I want to bridge the gap. No titles or designations, just humans who want to solve problems, bring their design ideas to the table and feel heard and respected regardless of their age, gender, colour of their skin, sexual orientation etc. Tell me what you want to do, I will work with you to get it done. Simple as that.”

Founded in January of 2021, Uyir Engineering now serves clients across South Eastern Ontario including Orangeville. Recent testimonials from clients attest to the firm’s core values – ‘We serve with active listening at our core and collaboration in our spirit’.

“Uyir Engineering is truly ‘Engineering with a Soul’. We reached out to Uyir Engineering to help with creating As-Built drawings of our facility. They were available at short notice and very diligent in their work. With their experience in the industry, Uyir Engineering has been a great resource for our facility to bounce ideas and to help develop solutions that amalgamate efficiency and sustainability. Uyir Engineering possesses the right attitude to challenge ‘what has always been done’ to make it suit our needs. I would recommend Uyir Engineering to anybody looking to solve complex production issues efficiently and sustainably.” – Ankit Baghwala, Plant Process Engineer, GEON Performance Solutions
